Winter 2005 Project Updates

The yard and the shop at the Bartholowmew’s in Spokane during November and December was a busy place. The stockpile of items to be shipped was growing. Each item shipped has to be labeled, inventoried, and weighed. The gas tanks have to be drained on all motors. The tool stems were checked and thread protectors fashioned. As the pile grew, weight became a primary consideration because shipping container capacity was limited to 44,000 pounds. Some decisions on what to take could not be made till the last moment.

International Children’s Care Drilling Project

What is a 9142 GMC military truck with a 22W on it’s back, and an Oregon company’s name on it’s side, doing in rural Guatemala? It is drilling wells for International Children’s Care. The drilling project is a result of the providence of God and the combined efforts of a dedicated family of our industry and generous supporters.

International Children’s Care is a non-profit organization started by Ken and Alcyon Fleck of Vancouver, Washington. ICC operates orphanages in 17 countries and several primary and secondary schools. (more…)
